Bubbles moves along the Spiro upward, and when it escape from the Spiro, you can count bubbles per second. The counter is 2.5cm diameter, 16cm long. To setup: Fill the counter with water Connect the CO2 tubing to the inlet of the counter CO2 gas from the pipe will create bubbles in the water Count the number of bubbles per second to make calculation Counter can be placed outside of the tank. If price is your main criterion, this is so much cheaper than the ADA product and it works. But the ADA Beetle Counter is much more precise and elegantly make. The ADA product puts out a precise round bubble that rolls up the spiral. This puts out a large oblong that is difficult to judge for size. It looks to contain the volume of 2 or 2.5 bubbles with each oblong so you're left guessing as to how much CO2 you're sending to the defuser. It doesn't have a functional advantage over a simple bubble counter but does approximate the visual beauty of an ADA set up. ### ⭐ Junk, inlet/outlet too big, broke just holding it *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2017* You get what you pay for I guess. First off, the inlet and outlet on this are way too big. They're almost the same diameter as co2 tubing, so I'm not sure how you're supposed to get tubing onto this.Second, it's unbelievable fragile. I literally rested my finger on the corner of the outlet, and it shattered!I would liked to have seen this work, but I don't know what they were thinking making the outlet/inlet so large. I've got another simple glass bubble counter with normal size connections, which co2 tubing fits snugly over. The tubing has no problem with check valves, or other connections to regulator... so it's not the tubing.Save your money on this one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great.!! *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on February 29, 2016* It worked pretty well.
