**Q: I need to make some washcloths and sew the margins. Is this thread strong enough to hold the margins? Is it as strong as polyester?**
A: It probably is strong enough but if you are thinking of something like a satin stitch edging it will be very expensive to use silk.  Make a sample to see how much thread you will need. Also be aware of thread weight.  100 wt is very thin compared to 40 wt regular sewing thread so the density of the stitch will differ.  Buy good quality thread so it will not snap mid-seam.  Probably polyester in large spool. If you are sewing a plain stitch 100 wt silk may blend with the fabric as it is very fine. Not sure about shrinkage.

**Q: where is the color chart that tells what color goes to each number???**
A: There is a drop down menu that shows the colors, which are the last three digits that can be matched to the colors/numbers of the threads on the ylicorp.com website.

**Q: How many yards/meters?**
A: 200 meters

**Q: Can I sew together cashmere patchwork squares for a quilt using this thread?**
A: I don’t know. I don’t think I would. I would use cashmere thread. I live in the south and cashmere is a little hot for us. I use the silk thread for appliqué.

My favorite so I had to buy more. Obtain a high quality look for your appliqué projects using this high quality silk thread. Your stitches just 'disappear' into the fabric resulting in a very professional look. One spool goes a long way, but these are my go to threads. I love hand binding a quilt. I machine stitch the binding onto the quilt back and show off by handstitching the binding onto the front of the quilt using this amazing silk thread in a shade matching or blending with my binding. Highly recommend this thread!

I love English paper piecing, decided to try this thread on the recommendation of an EPP group I belong to. Love it!! Will definitely be using this from now on-- thread doesn't tangle or twist near as much as others do, haven't had one broken thread yet (and I typically use Gutermann 50 wt or Aurifil for my EPP), and my stitches are truly nearly invisible.
