They tighten down without bending. A nice set of hold down clamps. **Q: Are these M6 size bolts/threads?** A: They certainly appear to be, since the slots are 8.25mm (0.326") and the threaded screw holes very nearly fill the raised slot-filling boss. It would be easy enough to verify by capturing a vendor photo at 45 degrees and scaling it to normalize the length, then rescaling it by 1.414 to account for the angle.
