I knew it was on the small side, and that's what I wanted. I wouldn't say it was "gumball" sized as I read elsewhere. True, the globe is only about 3" in diameter, but that's just fine for a desk with little real estate on it.Another review said that their's got hot. I have not experienced that. I have had it running all day and it is generating no heat (I have it plugged in via the included USB cable).It works nicely, just like the big ones... touch it, and the bolts follow your finger. If you have a brightly lit office, the effect is reduced as you don't see the bolts as well.
