Review: Great microphone for someone starting out - I had one of these previously, it was unfortunately stolen during a robbery at my previous home. I have just since now gotten around to getting a new one. I'd forgotten how good it was so thought it was time to leave it a review it deserves. For the record however, this mic is vastly improved when going into your mic settings in windows and setting it to a value lower than 60%. This vastly improves the overall audio quality and seems to cut the interference. I'm not audio engineer so I'm not sure why this is, but it does work. I use the mic for recording vocals and micing and amp for recording guitar. For this purpose is works very well, provided you have some knowledge about how to correctly mic an amp. Some time spent on Google or YouTube will help you out there. This mic works very well with both audacity, and ableton. Audacity recognises the mic immediately and recording is simple and quick, with Ableton you need to tell it and set it up with drivers etc. Again. Google or YouTube is your friend here however I don't feel as though it would take more than 5 minutes to figure it out yourself if you are familiar with ableton. The mic itself has a great build quality, with the small stand and filter that come with it feeling very high quality for the price point. I did not have any quality issues with my previous one after having and using it for over a year. I don't forsee any issues arising with this one either. It being USB-C is a nice bonus for beginners who may not want to shell out for a scarlet and a midi microphone, cable etc. I know some people are probably looking at this for use with streaming. I don't see why it wouldnt be a great choice for that, but you might consider the fact that you will likely need to buy an arm mount to hold it for you as the tripod is small and will likely take up valuable desk space. If you're still wondering if you want this, I'd say you can't go wrong.
