This pot is constructed of a thick gauge food safe stainless steel. It features a folding bail arm, with an added notch, which allows this pot to be used over a camp fire which was a useful feature I was looking for. The pot comprises of two pieces, the main pot and a lid which can also be utilized as a frying pan when used with the detachable snap wire handle which also comes included. The pot has a good sized capacity weather you are just boiling water or cooking more elaborate meals. The only drawback for me was when the pot is suspended over a fire the nail arm does not allow a lot of room for removing and adding the lid, also when the lid is used in conjunction with the handle the lid can become a little unstable when seated on the pot due to the weight on one side. I remedied this by placing the lid on top of the pot inverted. This allows the lid to sit deeper into the pot and makes it much more stable and easier to remove. All in all this is a great versatile pot and a great addition to my kit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome *by B***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 May 2013* I love this billy can. It's large enough to do a stew or boil a decent amount of water and you can use the lid for frying. One thing I particularly like about the 1.6 litre tatonka billy, is that the lid fits on the 16cm zebra billy can too, which doesnt have a lid suitable for frying in. Good for when you need a bigger billy can. It will just about fit in the side pocket of the plce bergen with a bit of persuation in either configuration, that's how I roll. It's robust enough to get beaten around in your backpack and wont be ruined in a fire if it boils dry like aluminium. In fact I've used it as an oven with a metal cup inside propped up on stones to cook bread in the cup with the billy over the fire containing the heat, worked great. Billy cans are such an underestimated peice of kit, I love 'em. ### ⭐⭐⭐ OK - just *by D***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 July 2019* Size is fine but the rivets on mine were loose which caused the bale (handlr) not to operate properly. Problem solved by inserting a couple of split copper washers but I should not have had to.
