They state the dimensions at 9.4 x 4.68 x 1.14 inches, but that's being too generous, the real dimensions are 9.25 x 4.5 x 1 (at its center height) and .875 - 7/8th inch (at front edges). It's definitely smaller than what I've been using, but it does hold all my husband's pills and he takes a LOT of them. Also note the cell labeling is wrong for actual AM-PM ease of loading, because the days are not together, with Sundays on opposite ends, for instance. If the same pills are always repeated AM & PM, it shouldn't matter. They know this is a problem, since they included a card with days/numbers stickers for you to relabel the cells if you want. **Q: Does it stay firmly closed when transported inside a bag? Is it safe for travel?** A: It does close well, we just went on a long road trip and used this.
