As someone else noted, Ryobi isn't contractor grade, but my tools are not in constant use day in and day out. I might use it every day for a week or two and then not need it again for a year or more. These are great, inexpensive tools for that.This tool has many other uses, and I used this one for a bathroom tile patch job after the plumbers left a real mess of the floor to break the tile, jack hammer the concrete slab, and dig down to repipe our sewer system. I needed to cut the floor at the grout lines to make a nice and neat patch area because I didn't want to replace the entire floor to fix this area. This tool cut through the grout like butter and I also used it to smooth out the plumbers' concrete floor patch that had some peaks and rough spots.Now I'm looking for the other tools that go with this tool body that makes it even more versatile.UPDATE July 9, 2021: After using the tool to dislodge some more ceramic floor tile, I got really frustrated with it. The attachment screw keeps coming loose. I had to stop every 15-30 seconds to loosen it some more, realign the attachment with the indexing notches and then tighten it again. I don't remember that happening the first time I used this. Then I tried using a wood cutting attachment to trim a door stop so that I could insert a T-Molding transition piece underneath for a finished look. The same thing happened, and I had to keep stopping the tool because it appears to sometimes lock up and not oscillate at all. Then after releasing the on switch and squeezing it again, the tool would work for another 15 seconds or so. After this I would not buy this tool again ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gotta love the Ryobi range *by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on 26 July 2020* I decided years ago to only buy battery operated tools and to stick to Ryobi. I have most of their range now: woodworking, gardening, lights, etc. This was my latest purchase and it’s very useful for certain kinds of detail work. The Ryobi ONE+ batteries have great life and having one battery type and one charger type is the way to go. I’ve also found it’s best to buy the Ryobi brand batteries—the knock-offs are *much* cheaper but really don’t hold much of a charge and sometimes they don’t fit properly.It is a “universal” tool, with cutters for wood, metal (but not too thick), drywall, etc. It has various sanding attachments, and other pieces I haven’t figured out how I can use.Heavy duty construction folks tend to denigrate the Ryobi brands as not being robust enough or powerful enough, but for a regular DIY person like me, they work great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Invaluable Ryobi Oscillating tool *by A***I on Reviewed in the United States on 29 September 2020* This is actually my second Ryobi P-340. I purchased it mostly as a portable oscillating tool. I find this to be one battery operated tool I use the most. I have used this to cut holes in counter tops for sinks. I've used this to create notches for door hinges. This is great for trim work and makes cutting drywall or trimming back spray foam a breeze. I used my other one for years. In fact I overused it.
