I got the impression it would be difficult to squeeze our the tube...contrary to belief I managed to use a full tube with ease. I even used a smaller nozzle than that provided to get into some smaller joints and had zero issues. It dries a colour you'd expect and can be massaged into uneven joints (sandstone coping stones) with little mess. I used a finger to get a reasonably decent finish and returned about 10 minutes later to give it a final finish and smooth any bumpy joints. It does set in no more than 15 minutes (in the shade) so I can imagine once a tube is opened you're committed to using it all or scrapping any remaining. Review: Surprisingly good - I used it to repoint some ridge tiles and pointing on a chimney stack. After reading reviews i had some concerns but thought the positive reviews outweighed the negative. Tbh, I was very happy with the performance. I made sure the surfaces were clean and slightly damp. I used a metal caulk gun and was pleased that the mortar came out surprisingly easily and the tube width was good and wide to fit 10mm gaps nicely. Gravity will pull at the pointing so care is needed to ensure it is squeezed directly into the recesses. The colour is a mid grey and was a good colour match. A whole brick was removed, can this be used like regular mortar, or is it only for pointing?** A: You could probably use it to bind a single brick but I think you would probably use the whole tube. **Q: dring time ?** A: I only did small jobs, for example, mortaring a top brick of my garden wall and once done I leave it alone for 24 hours, if rain forecast I cover it up, I have been satisfied as it’s done the bits and pieces I needed doing- filling in light cracks etc. **Q: what it like for lead flashings** A: Might be me as Im not into DIY. Thought it was rubbish. Bought builders sand. Bag of cement. Pointers trowel. Mix 2 1/2 to 1. Lovely job **Q: Can it be used for gaps in outdoor patio slabs** A: The mortar is not super ‘smooth’ and the tube is relatively small,I mortared one end brick, so 2 sides with mortar and filled in several gaps on a cement balustrade. I bought it because I only had minor jobs. . It has dried hard and worked for my jobs. You will probably need a caulking or sealant gun to hold the cartridge and enable the application. Dries quickly to a grey colour and is of sufficient hardness. I am no expert but I would have liked it to have been slightly more moist and therefore pliable but I still give it 5 stars for ease of use. Excellent for DIY novices like myself.
