**Q: will this crimp bt 431A and 631A plugs? Thanks**
A: I've consulted my better half who is qualified in electronics and he's had a look at the tool and the packet it came in. He's replied "I don't think so, the plugs look totally different".
I hope that helps.

**Q: do these work with pass through rj45 connectors?**
A: Yes, a pass-through cable is just wired differently. When you make the cable just follow a diagram online.

**Q: Would this work for a cat 6 cable? Or is this only for 5/5e**
A: I'm pretty sure that Cat 6 and Cat 5 both use RJ45 connector so the answer is yes.
And this tool is easy to use after a practise on spare cable and RJ45 connector. Be sure to squeeze really tight.

Hopefully I’ll only ever have to fit one Ethernet plug on a cat 5 cable. It took about an hour of my life, but that’s down to the plug design, not this product, which worked very well. It’s not a professional model. Those have stronger, mechanisms, but this was up to the job and the plug hasn’t fallen off since. So, if you’re a casual crumpet, this should serve you well.
