With brilliant pictures and information about their home world, special abilities and appearances over the years. Although I would like it more if there was some basic information about what episodes the Daleks are infamous for, every bit of important knowledge you need is there. There are 203 well written pages and some great lab led pictures. The quality of the book is not great as I have had it for about a month now and the spine of the book is broken but I think that is due to the amount of times I have read it. As far as I'm concerned there are no great characters missing form the vast selection but the book only goes up to Matt Smith or the 11th doctor so characters featured in the 12th doctors episodes and non-existent. But that is to be expected. I truly recommend this book and maybe even a Tardis backpack to complete the package. Review: More popular than the 10th Doctors Sonic! - I got this as an almost consolation prize to my younger child because the older one got the 10th Doctor's sonic. Well this book was a real hit with both kids. What a great companion to have on the table while watching Doctor Who! The series has so much context in the 50-years of history, you really get value looking things up, learning about the history of characters and how it calls back to seasons past. We just watched the 10th doctor battle the Sontarans and we could see that they have a rich history. An excellent companion - lots of pictures for kids. Everyone's there. What I ended up getting was a lot better. This book sums up just about every character on the show - doctors, companions, monsters, and even most day characters - in one page, and gives a lot of detail. What made me especially happy was the inclusion of Classic Who Doctors and companions, unlike some other Doctor Who merchandise I've come across, which was lucky for me, considering how much I've been coveting Daphne Ashbrook and Katy Manning's autographs.
