Review: My most perfect iron! - I'm a quilter by hobby so picking out an iron is a very important thing. This is my second Rowenta Iron - the only reason I had to choose a new one was the old one I kept dropping (always my fault for banging into the ironing board to have everything fall over) anyway, it went through 4 years of hard falls before the casing finally cracked. If you knew how many times I tipped over the ironing board, you would be impressed with that. So I finally got smart, moved the ironing board (and furniture) so I can no longer tip it over. This new iron is more impressive, does a much better job of ironing and makes for a smooth maneuver over the material. The only "thing" I can find fault for, is that the steam (water in the tank) does not last long due to that at the beginning it over steams the material and is using up the water faster. Not sure if there is a way to control that at the beginning to make it last longer. Now that I've got it (my ironing board and iron) in a safer place, I expect that this will last me for years. Thank you for developing a sturdy, safe and long lasting iron!
Review: Great iron - lots of steam when you need it. - I like this iron, but I don’t love it. I’m finicky, so my complaints might be considered minor, but none the less I think they’re valid. First the good qualities; The mix of settings is very nice. Temperature settings are accurate. The iron is well balanced, and the sole plate is flawless. The tip is also good for getting into tight spots. Filling the water reservoir is a breeze and I like that it has a flapper style door to seal the reservoir. Aesthetically, I like the color, BUT it does hamper the ability to see how much water is in the reservoir. Now for my chief complaint - this iron uses a lot, and I do mean copious amounts, of water. Even at the low end of the steam setting I find myself filling up the reservoir after a couple of items. This excessive amount of steam leads to a lot of water droplets on the floor as you work your way around an item of clothing. Turn up the steam setting on this baby and you’ll quickly learn the meaning of the word sweatshop.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I received the iron today with no Manuel. How do I obtain one!?**
A: You’ll get your iron but I’m not giving you Manuel!!! He is mine!!!

**Q: i have extremely hard city water. is the anti-calc collection cup on the dw7180 better than just self-cleaning on the other models? i know you have to still self-clean with the anti-calc system, but i want to know if the a-c collection cup is worth the extra $20 over the other models.**
A: So - I have a 15+ year old Rowenta Professional that I am replacing. That is why I am here reading the responses. I can ell you for 15 years I used nothing but city tap water in this iron and never once had an issue with spotting or leaking. the iron just isn't heating up all the way before it shuts down. I have used nothing but Rowenta irons for more than 25 years - in the beginning they weren't as reliable as this one was and I am hoping that the new ones are as good

**Q: over time do steam holes plug?**
A: I’ve never had a problem with the steam holes plugging. My first very, very old Rowenta started taking longer to heat up, but the steam holes never were plugged on that one either. I bought this Rowenta DW7180 to replace it. Rowenta (in my opinion) is the best on the market and this model is exceptionally reliable and has a more variable temperature control than my old one.

**Q: How long is the cord?**
A: I measure 8 feet from iron to plug

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rowenta is the best period.......
*by W***E on April 4, 2020*

Just purchased this Rowenta iron after having to replace the last one after 10 years. This one is ecvery bit as good if not better than the last. I have looked over some of the reviews and to be quite frank I am not sure what some of the bad reviews could have been experiencing. I have purchased Rowenta Irons exclusively after being told about them by a family that had a clothes washing service many years ago. I have never had a less than stellar experience from this company and the products. I fully expect this iron to last several years too. This particular model is better than the last in the quality, consistency, the amount and evenness of the steam produced. No excessive drips, and very clean steam. No problems with the unit right out of the box. Will go back again as long as I am around the make the purchases
