I used it to connect a Hayward pump to an Intex hose. **Q: cannot tighten 1 1/2" 38mm intex hose nuts to these. They snug up OK but slip/cock thread when you try to tighten them. Anyone else have this issue?** A: I had the same issue with the 40mm nuts on Intex filter hoses. I used a hose clamp on the nut to keep the nut from expanding.
