The base was too small and it had a panoramic base which just added to wobbliness - I didn't need that.The Oben has a large base, 60mm I think, and the fitting that the arm goes through is a good length, so less, if any, wobble from that. They say that you can't remove the two sliding 1/4"/20 bases but you can. Just undo the handle and the two bolts that sandwich them to the arm and they come apart in half. I felt they took up too much arm length and I didn't need both, so took one off.Finally foto gear that's substantial and well thought out, without added doo-dah's that don't contribute to it's primary purpose.
