The "thimble" is the only item that doesn't live up the the quality of the rest, but I have decent sewing thimbles anyway. It is, at least, adjustable. Unexpected bonus is the wooden needle case, which has a really attractive finish, with lovely wood grain and a precision screw thread. I just mended a pair of sheepskin boots, using a combination of the curved and straight needles. If I could suggest an improvement to the kit, it would be to include an awl with a fat handle: the straight needles do this job well, but are a bit hard to grip. The whole lot comes in a neat plastic case.
