Would it overload to much?** A: Not sure how you'd hook up a dipole to this radio, but you can definitely use a long wire. The way I did it was using a wire and a electrical ring terminal. Make sure to find a ring terminal with a hole that will fit the threaded part of the PR-D6 antenna. Crimp and/or solder the wire to the ring terminal. Once that is done, put the threaded part of the antenna through the hole in the ring terminal, and then screw the antenna into the radio.
