Unlike the image, which at this point shows some green (epoxy?) coating, the received element did NOT.Given that an appreciable portion of the pictured element lacked that coating, its actual benefit is unclear.Regardless, a good titanium coating is key to extending heater element service life.Web searches elsewhere for this Thermocore part confirm its titanium coating,as does a label on its packaging.  Time will tell whether that coating is flawless..Time told: it lasted l0 months, which is better than 2 months for a Therm Products 25-4034-BI-TI.Costing little more, SpaGuts Universal Flo-Thru Heater Element, 5.5KW, Titanium quotes a 5 yr limited warranty.

This is not a universal element. I've installed hundreds of heating elements in all kinds of different brand tubs. This is the first time that I could not get a "universal" heating element to fit into a Flow Thru heating tube.  This element will fit your spa if you have digital controls, like balboa, gecko, or higher end hydroquip. But if you spa still uses electro-mechanical controls and uses the copper style capillary thermostat that mounts to the back of the heating tube, this element will not fit without grinding a significant amount of material off of the terminals. Look

This works better than the original ever did. Very happy with this purchase-highly recommend. The original was a pain to get out of the sleve but once that was done this one went right in with no problem. Couldn"t be happier ab out the way it works.
