Best regards Yale **Q: Happy to buy yale a trusted brand but what does the ylem/ 200/eg1 do to justify nearly £100 more than the yleb/200/eb1 ?** A: The yleb/200/eg1 is a higher security rated safe, than the 200/eb1. The spec for the 200/eb1 is 2mm thick walls and 4mm thick door which is anti saw rated it has no sold secure rating for insurance purposes, however most insurance companies recognise the make and model as an anti theft device. The 200/eg1 has 2.5mm thick walls and a 6mm thick door this is also anti saw rated but in addition it is anti drill rated which means the door is made of hardened steel. These enhancement's qualify the safe for a Sold Secure Silver rating which is an insurance classification which ensures the safe is up to that security standard . Safes are a visible deterrent and will take a burglar some time to defeat . Generally the more you pay the better protection you get. For what its worth I have a YLEB/200/eb1 and I am happy with my purchase, its a well made piece of kit, and it doesn't contain the crown jewels. **Q: Can you fit a 15" laptop in this?** A: There is no way your laptop will fit into one of these safes. door opening width with door hinge is 10.5" the opening depth is 6.75" opening diagonal measurement 13" so it will not fit. The only real issue is the display and you have to be at eye level with the display to be able to read it. Only one key is provided but there is an external battery back up if the batteries go flat. Quality and fitting options excellent.
