The youngest is a thrower. If he needs help or he's annoyed... he'll throw his tablet. So far we've made it through a lot and his tablet is still intact. I've noticed this case gives the tablet more of a bounce when it falls or is thrown. So it's not such a hard impact. It doesn't have a screen protector of any kind. I do suggest still buying one. I need to. We've been lucky so far. Our made it's not luck and it's just a great case. I do love the strap idea. Being able to hook it in the car, awesome. It's got 3 handles and a strap. Easy for my toddler to hold if he gets a little Ms Rachel time while we're out doing errands or at appointments. I have had this Amazon tablet cover for probably a year or so, and yesterday while visiting a loved one in the hospital, my daughter dropped her tablet out of the wagon when we were walking back out to the car in the parking lot. As it goes in a hospital, people are very much in a hurry and not paying a lot of attention, and somebody drove over it completely. When I found it, as I walked back to the main entrance, there was a tire track literally over the back of it. It did not break in any way shape or form! The only damage, was superficial from the asphalt on the screen protector. The tablet was face down when it was run over.
