## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars

One of my favorite '80s albums

*by C***E on Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2015*

I love this album! I missed it when it came out - they seem to have been mostly a regional band. I found out about them from the book, Our Band Could Be Your Life, which I highly recommend. Mission of Burma is hard to categorize, but I liked this album more with each listen. I listened to it once a day for a week. It is now one of my favorite '80s albums.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars

    Art punk with guts.

This record was probably pretty revolutionary when it was first released, and it still totally holds up today despite the countless imitators. I haven't heard melody and hardcore punk mixed this well aside from perhaps Husker Du, and I think that I slightly prefer Mission of Burma. This record gets my blood pumping every time I listen to it!

### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars

    Just plain boring

*by F***X on Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2014*

The group lacks a good lead singer. The songs all sound alike. Reading the other reviews, I must say that I am unfamiliar with the albums they site. Seems as though you must be a fan of punk music to like this band. I've heard of punk music, but don't know what it is. If you are in the same boat I am in, then you won't like this album. Be forewarned. I must have read a positive article about them in the New York Times. I will quit buying music recommended by the NYT. I will say they tried to make their lyrics interesting. I notice that song #15 (Laugh the World Away) has the phrase, "Where is justice?". That's the question of the ages.
