It stated 225 for 10 mins. Long story short, my son's project never baked up completely. We kept increasing the temp and time, but it didn't work. We finally took it out and was done with it. This is not a product I recommmend due to lack of good quality information. **Q: Is this hard or medium softness?** A: Hard but as you play with it should soften up but not much as i expected it was too hard to work with for me. **Q: Is this waterproof... can i make a vase with it? Do you bake it by yourself at home? How?** A: Yes you bake it at home. I bake it at 275 for half an hour. But as far as it being water proof I don’t know I have never made anything that I have used for water. Take off a chunk and start rolling it into a ball. The warmth from your hands alone will transform it before your very eyes into a very smooth and malleable ball in short time. The clay isn’t that firm at all and holds its malleability after its conditioned. Given time it seems to almost melt so I recommend baking it to hold its shape, especially if it’s carrying a lot of weight it might β€œsag”. We did not have to use conditioning product or heat to make this work. Hard.I haven't really done much with the fully baked clay yet. I've been working with polyclay for ages and ages at this point--I've tried a wide variety of formulae, including custom mixtures. This makes me think more of industrial plasticine for making old-school hand-sculpted like, tanks and car frame presentation models, where you have to keep it in a wax warmer to keep it malleable. More experienced polyclay artists might have learned the trick of using mineral oil to soften polyclay--this formula is not good for that, so I'm not really sure how else to soften it to a malleability that I'm comfortable with.On the bright side, it's incredibly sticky, so it loves to adhere to itself, even when partially baked. Additionally, when partially cured, it does carve quite nicely, even with an X-Acto blade that should've been replaced several weeks ago. I feel like you can tell this is a "newer" formulation because of the way a block completely crumbles, how sticky it is, how hard it is, how hard it is to blend out, and more.
