We needed a simple to use model that had a clear pronunciation of the languages it was translating, and also a clear screen to see the functions. When the translator arrived it was fully charged and upon turning it on it did a couple of fast updates to load more languages. It offers Chinese (which we needed) Different English such as Australian, England, United States. German, Spanish, French, Italian, Korean, and many more. The easy to use function loads up your chosen languages to translate (like english and chinese) One highlighted in green and the other in blue. Then on the bottom of the device are two buttons, one with a green and one with a blue stripe. simply pick your language that is highlighted and press the button and talk and it will translate what you have said to the other language you have chosen. It couldn't be more easier to use. We check the accuracy of the english to chinese translation (since my wife is fluent in both) and it was spot on. We are fortunate enough to have some spanish friends and i tried it out with them as well. They were also impressed with the translation from english to spanish, commenting that it was also translating the sentence correctly. This will be a great thing to have when my step son arrives, and while he works on his english skills. We are also looking forward to taking it with us on our many travels to other countries such as Korea and Italy to aid us in our communications. Its a convenient size for travel would easily store in a purse or a front shirt pocket.
