After reading the reviews from my fellow curly, kinky-haired girls, I knew this product would not straighten my hair to perfection. If your hair is super curly and thick like mine, you won't get the same sleek finish as a traditional straightener. It also does not get the roots of your hair very well since it is kind of bulky. Also, the button placement is awful. I was constantly having to fix the temperature because I kept knocking it down. That being said, this product is great to use this in place of your blow dryer (your hair should be completely dry before you do it, though). It takes significantly less time and effort than working your hair with a brush in one hand and a blow dryer in the other. I have zero upper body strength, so when blow drying I constantly have to take breaks to give myself a rest. It's also great for minor touch ups. When I unwrap my hair in the morning, it takes out some of the bends that sometimes happens when you take your hair down. So, if you're happy with your blow drying routine and are looking for a product that will get your hair bone straight-- if you're hair is naturally curly, thick or kinky-- then this is NOT the product for you. If you're interested in something that will supplement your hair straightening process/routine, either blow drying or minor touch ups, then I would recommend this product. When this big zit on my forehead goes away, I may post pictures. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Great - Not Perfect Design *by I***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 12, 2015* I received this yesterday and tried it out today. I want to preface that I've never used one of these before. I have naturally wavy hair and am not that talented with a straightener, so I usually use a round brush when drying my hair - it takes around 20 minutes. I was looking for an option for when I want to style my hair when dry. This brush definitely did a nice job and it was easier to use than a straightener (for me). I took before and after pictures and checked the time stamps - 16 minutes. Not bad. I'm not giving it 5 stars because it's not perfect. Throughout my use of the brush, I kept accidentally pressing the temperature buttons - and then I would have to look at it and reset the temp where I wanted it. Seems like most of these brushes have the temp buttons in the same place, but on this brush, they need to be more recessed or something. I also changed the temp from F to C on accident once while using. It's not a reason to return it, but it is annoying. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ La Belle Vue Heated Ceramic Straightening Hairbrush *by I***K on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on February 2, 2016* I love this straightening hairbrush! My hair is very long and thick. It's turning gray and becoming coarser as I age and it's very wavy and curly, a bit out of control. I have the kind of hair that curls and frizzes when it rains out. It took me a few times to learn how to use this brush, but now I can get my hair completely done in about 15 minutes. It's much straighter and shinier when it's done. To be fair, I use a good shampoo and conditioner by Brazilian Blowout. Then I follow up with HSI Professional Thermal protector. You want to make sure your hair is completely dry. I have used this brush when my hair was damp, but it produces a really hot steam. This brush quickly heats (about 5 minutes) up to 428 degrees, which seems to be my magic number for my unruly hair. I split my hair in half, so it hangs in front and brush each section very slowly. I count to ten as I brush down. It probably won't completely straighten your hair as well as a flat iron, but it's much faster! My hair still has some wave, but is mostly straight and stays straight into the next day. My biggest complaint is where the buttons are placed. They are in the handle right where my hand is, so I have to hang on to the tippy end of the brush.
