For a lumber jack, it is likely not the right fit. For a weekend warrior like myself, it serves the function well. My main reason for not giving 5 stars on most things is the way it is constructed. The components are not precisely made resulting in a lot of 'slop' when in use. Also the assembly instructions could use a little work. For instance, the first thing they want you to do is assemble the handle. I found it much easier to assemble all the rest of the components and screw on the handle extension as the last step. On the subject of not being precision made - one of the holes that the slip pin is supposed to go through was too small and will require drilling out if I should ever decide that I need to make use of the feature. A simple enough operation, but one that should have been done in manufacture.
