It ends up throwing off my gait. This hook just rolls over stuff but still finds obstacles. My last one after lots of wear literally blew up when I was releasing my cane out. I was not aware of its worn condition. It seemed to be hollow inside and I thought due to its weight compared to other tips I used it must be solid but is not.
