Here is my experience with different shipping tapes which will, hopefully, save you all time and money. 1) Generic tape, while less for the qty, tears on the rolls frequently and is not as sticky. 2) USPS Brown Shipping tape doesn't stick AT ALL, on ANY surface. 3) REGULAR SCOTCH SHIPPING TAPE works VERY well, BUT if you get it stuck to itself you have to throw away the compromised portion. In addition, it can tear on the roll & trying to get the whole strip even again, can also waste a lot of tape & time....which both cost $$$. 4) SCOTCH "SURE START" SHIPPING TAPE eliminates BOTH issues, while maintaining its strong adhesive capabilities. i give this 4 1/2 stars, as it is expensive for the amount you get. Though, considering all the Tape, Time & Hassle I save compared to REGULAR SCOTCH SHIPPING TAPE, I suppose it works out evenly.
