It has worked for me to place the Goo Gone on a cotton pad or ball and then wait and use the sticker lifter. It is probably possible for the sticker lifter to damage an item, but it has just made it easier than using a tissue or your hands or something laying around like a ruler. It removed sticker residue from a candy tin and made it look wonderful and gum from the bottom of a leather bag. It does not say to use it on leather, but I used a small amount and it did not damage it. I realized after the fact it made no endorsement of using it on leather, and I wouldn't consider it in the future or recommend it. However, the one time the leather was not damaged. Other bottles of Goo Gone do not come with the sticker lifter, so this may be worth it just for that. It also looks like a different formula of Goo Gone as it is a different color and may have a more liquid consistency. Somehow the Goo Gone leaked and managed to slide the sticker off the front of the small plastic bottle. I am a relatively new user of Goo Gone so maybe if in the future I am more neat it will not leak and cause the sticker to come off the bottle. I have another bottle of Goo Gone and that did not happen. This bottle does not have the small hole for the Goo Gone to come out like the other bottle so I would use a cotton pad or ball or maybe tissue with this for sure. It would spill out and be messy and maybe damage book pages if you didn't unless that is what you wanted and you were using it on something very large.

**Q: Is it safe for ipads**
A: Yes it’s safe you need to apply to a paper towel or microfiber towel or a tissue paper and use it but don’t spray or add it directly to the screen.

**Q: Does it take off old bathtub stickers**
A: I have never tried it on bathtub stickers but I consistently use it on products that I buy (i.e. plastic plates, cup etc.) that have the barcode or price label affixed with glue.  It definitely gets the glue off of those things.  Hope that helps.

**Q: which product is best for removing adhesive from the side mirror of car after removing glued blind side mirror?**
A: This only works for stickers on items, not for this, you'd probably have to get some special remover; might want to ask an auto shop; Auto Zone, or someone, sorry.

**Q: How do you open the bottle?**
A: If it doesn't twist off directly; it might require squeezing at the sides like some Advil bottles do.  Unless it has a push up part and a hole.  Directions should be on the cardboard part of the package and how to use the "scraper" that comes with it.
