Review: Lock N Roll - So a Comedy of Errors caused me to have to order this random lock and if you need something just like this, it came exactly as appeared. I ordered the green and when I ordered it I was concerned that I was not going to be able to create the exact combinations of words and numbers that I needed because it was a replacement of another lock, but lockily (wink) this item comes with several interchangeable green dials with combinations of words and numbers and you set the lock by picking out exactly what combination of letters and numbers that you would like to have as the passcode and then you follow the instructions to set the lock! It worked as expected and it's very easy to operate and it's also quite easy to change the combination if you want it to be something different but you want to be able to use the same lock. That's kind of the beauty of this particular choice. It's not like you're going to lose the key, you know what I mean? As long as you have the code you can get into it and if for whatever reason you need to change access to something that you want to keep the same lock, all you have to do is very easily change the code. It'll be handy to have for use with a gate or for a seasonal Locker. It feels really safe and secure and it doesn't feel like you could cut through it very easily and the shackle fit well into the hinge lock that I used it for. It's also extremely visible because of the colors on the Tumblers and it's kind of nice that you could select different colors for different applications on the same site. It makes it easy to discern and leave instructions because you can reference the color. It seemed very sturdy and it definitely looks as it appears in the advertisement. Good value. Review: Great Lock - Great lock at a great price. I like it because the letters/numbers are big enough so that I don't need my reading glasses. I have read the negative reviews and yes, it will break if you drop it because my last one did. Of course I had to drop it 5 or 6 times over almost 6 years before I needed to replace it, but I replaced it with the same kind of lock. Check the price and you will see that you just don't have to be that careful. The only bad point to me is that it uses letters and the kids at the health club like to try to spell rude words with it when I'm not there. ## Features - Indoor combination lock is best used as a school locker lock or gym lock, providing protection and security from theft.Note: Measure your door's backset, cross bore and thickness to ensure you find the right fit. - Set your own five character (letter, number, or symbol) combination for keyless convenience - Combo lock features metal body construction, hardened steel shackle, and anti-shim locking mechanism for strength and security - 2-1/2 inch (64 millimeter) wide lock body; 1/4 inch (6 millimeter) diameter with 1-1/8 inch (29 millimeter) length, 1-3/8 inch (35 millimeter) width; Available in black, blue, green, white (randomly selected at time of shipment) - Soft touch dials with two grip points for no-slip grip; Interchangeable dials allow you to set and reset your personalized combination ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000ONVJ2G | | Additional Features | Interchangeable, removable dials | | Best Sellers Rank | #24,418 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #71 in Combination Locks | | Brand | Master Lock | | Brand Name | Master Lock | | Color | Assorted Colors | | Control Method | Touch | | Controller Type | Hand Control | | Customer Reviews | 3.9 out of 5 stars 3,720 Reviews | | Finish Types | White | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00071649243042 | | Included Components | Hardware | | Item Dimensions | 6.56 x 3.5 x 1.7 inches | | Item Type Name | Set Your Own Word Combination Padlock | | Item Weight | 6.4 ounces | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 6.56 x 3.5 x 1.7 inches | | Lock Type | Combination Lock | | Manufacturer | Master Lock | | Manufacturer Part Number | 1534D | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | Limited Lifetime Warranty | | Material | Metal | | Material Type | Metal | | Model Name | Locker Lock | | Model Number | 1534D | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Security | | Shape | Rectangular | | Special Feature | Interchangeable, removable dials | | Style Name | Word Combo, Assorted Colors | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Master Lock - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 6.56 x 3.5 x 1.7 inches - **Lock Type:** Combination Lock - **Material:** Metal - **Special Feature:** Interchangeable, removable dials ## Images ![1534D Locker Lock Set Your Own Word Combination Padlock, 1 Pack, Assorted Colors - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61l0cKnNYrL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is it possible to order extra letter dials from you or master lock?** A: I haven't found anyone offering extra dials, and because the different colors all use the same SKU, sellers aren't offering specific colors, but a random selection. Unfortunately, this means buying a bunch of the locks and hoping you have enough matching ones to swap out the dials (a single lock only comes with one extra alpha dial, so if you want a 5-letter combination you will need to combine multiple locks). **Q: Can someone please give me the possible letters numbers for each line? i'm desperate?? thanks!!!** A: I believe it is a state secret. I have been searching the Internet for a while now, trying to find this exact answer. The question is: what are the letters/numbers on ring 1? What are the letters/numbers on ring 2? What are the letters/numbers on ring 3? etc. I think we are both asking because we have specific words in mind and would like to know whether it's possible to arrange the rings in the necessary order. I was able to find the answer for a different type of word lock, but not this one. **Q: Can I buy a black one please?** A: SORRY, I DON'T HAVE THAT COLOR **Q: Can I order this in red?** A: Hello. This lock is no longer manufactured in red. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lock N Roll *by L***S on November 9, 2024* So a Comedy of Errors caused me to have to order this random lock and if you need something just like this, it came exactly as appeared. The description suggests that the lock is designed for gym and school use, however, in my case, it caused me more trouble than help. This lock attracted me with its sturdy appearance, it's 5-digit combination including alphabet. Somehow I also got an illusion from its simple design that the lock must function very well. I purchased two of them. However, only after assembling the locks did I realize how difficult it is to operate the locks. For both locks, you need at least 3 to 5 pushes/pulls/twists of the shackle in slightly different angles in order to lock or unlock them, sometimes even more. I was hoping that maybe after using them for a while I could get familiar with their personalities and learn the tricks to operate them. So I carried both locks to the gym, but I wouldn't think the new ones could provide better security than my old 3-digit lock, because every time I had to spend at least 3 seconds to lock or unlock, with both hands on the shackle. This means I have to expose the 5 digits completely to anyone besides me, and I am sure the big digits are very recognizable from a few feet away. With both locks at hand I always did quick tests before using them, to see which one could be locked faster. The truth is, sometimes it would take 10 ridiculous seconds to lock or unlock, a situation I definitely want to avoid in the gym. Luckily no one seemed to be interested in my belongings in the locker since the unfortunate accident yet. But I doubt, had anyone wanted to open my locker, it couldn't be easier. However, what is worse just happened today: one of the lock stopped functional completely: first it would not lock, then after some hard tries it locked but refuse to be unlocked anymore. Because of the strategy mentioned above, I didn't end up in a situation to be locked out of the locker. I am wondering if that happened, how could I half-nakedly beg the gym staff to break the locker for me, and who would pay to repair the broken locker? This is my experience of using 2 locks of this brand. Hope it could be a good reference for you to pick your purchase. ## Frequently Bought Together - Master Lock 1534D Locker Lock Set Your Own Word Combination Padlock, 1 Pack, Assorted colors - Master Lock Word Combination Lock, Set Your Own Word Lock for Gym and School Lockers, Colors May Vary, 1535DWD - Master Lock Directional Combination Lock, Set Your Own Directional Lock, Combination Lock for Gym and School Lockers, 1500iD --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pl/products/2102703-1534d-locker-lock-set-your-own-word-combination-padlock-1](https://www.desertcart.pl/products/2102703-1534d-locker-lock-set-your-own-word-combination-padlock-1) --- *Product available on Desertcart Poland* *Store origin: PL* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
