We got it for her for Christmas and have already had to buy her multiple packs of filament refills because she uses it so often. She appreciates the guides that come with the pen to help create specific things. She has also created her own little knick knacks. Her pen stopped working properly after not using it for a few weeks. She charged it up when she was ready to use it again and it would work for less than a minute before dying. I saw another review mention how great customer service was with their problem, so I reached out and they offered to send us a new pen in exchange for the one that was having problems. 10/10 recommend

The plastic flows out super smoothly and hardens quickly, it doesn't make much of a mess at all. The colors come out the same as the sticks you use, there are no weird smells. I had a ton of fun with it as well as an adult. The sticks do go quick so I would recommend buying extra sticks when you purchase the doodler. There are plenty of options of all price ranges on desertcart for more sticks. Highly recommend this for ages 5 and up!
