I tried my favorite silicon spoonula/spatula which kind of worked. When they arrived, I thought oh well, I didnt waste much money on this cheap crap. OH BOY, WAS I WRONG. The first time I used the larger of the two to stir my just cooked sticky rice was a big surprise. No more big clumps sticking to the wooden spoon. Very easy to stir in my rice vinegar and fluff up the rice nicely without crushing it. A couple taps and the paddle is clean again. I personally use the smaller one to fill sushi molds and a roll tube that I use because it is so much easier. I am not the greatest California roll builder using a mat.
