I hook mine through a belt loop as I don't always have a pocket. **Q: Can you provide a magnifying glass to read the instructions please. neither of mine will start up so, not a good start.** A: I know what you mean about the print.remove the back and you will find a plastic strip on the battery.remove this and you should be ok. **Q: I can hardly read the screen :( And the little book says so little that I cant see how to set the time, how to set length of steps or anything.** A: I had the same trouble reading the screen, and even more difficult, reading the instructions in the 'little book'. As to steps, I measured mine at 28'' heel to toe. Device the counts the steps. I am somewhat disappointed that everything is so small. No indication of that on purchase screen!!! **Q: for example: 1834 steps are 1.39 km and the device show me 3.15 km. Also, 4 steps is counting 0.01 km in this device. how could i deal with this?** A: You may have your step length set up wrong which could be calculating your distances incorrectly. The best thing of all is that I don't ever have to press any buttons (unless I want to see history), there isn't even an on/off switch as it simply goes to sleep when inactive.Highly recommended; useful, accurate, reliable and great value. A belt clip would be nice but the versatility of this particular pedometer means it works however it is carried and does not need to be held on the hip. A lanyard is supplied which has a plastic quick-release clip but I have not tried wearing it around my neck.Apart from the daily total step count, a bar goes up showing how much of your target you've achieved and the time is displayed. The readout isn't especially big or bold so not suitable for those with poor eyesight perhaps.The step count is automatically reset at midnight and it is very easy to review your week's progress simply by pressing the MEMO button to flick through your last 7 days' achievements.The MODE button allows your exertions to be displayed as STEPS, KCALS or MILES. And yes, you can change this to Metric.Al in all, very good. Much more useful and easier to use than I was expecting.Recommended. All 5 Stars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good little gadget *by G***L on 21 February 2015* A good little gadget that I enjoy using, reasonably priced. The setup was tricky as there is little time to put in your info before it switches back. Also the information booklet is very small to read. But once all that is done, it works great. It does not have a belt clip, but that does not worry me. In the morning I hang it round my neck, then when dressed it goes into my pocket. With the small size of 7x3 cm it slips in easily. I have set my aim for 5000 steps a day. There is a bar to tell you how far you have got with your aim. I don't reach that every day, but I count up 7 days and then calculate the average which is hopefully 5000 steps. Its nice you can look back on 7 days info. The clock is an extra addition. This pedometer is working well for me and a great motivator to keep fit! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Basic Cheap & Cheerful Pedometer *by G***L on 7 June 2015* I bought this model because I wan't sure whether I would take to using a pedometer and didn't want to waste money on a fancy model if it would simply sit in the drawer.After having it for about three months I really missed it when I forgot to take it out with me and decided I did want a better model. Which was exactly the time this one packed up on me: hence only three stars. At this price I didn't expect too much - certainly not NASA levels of accuracy - but if it read 9000 steps I knew I had walked more than a day when it read 7000, which is all that really matters, and it helped my motivation to be more active.
