The picture is of a bottle of Raineri Olive Oil (Antica Azienda Raineri) from Imperia. Very definitely a fine quality Ligurian Olive Oil from a company that has been around since around 1910. We spend 8-10 weeks a year in Liguria (based in Alassio). This fine local oil is avaialbale in our favorite gastronomia and is used by many local chefs. apparently there is a Ranieri Olive Oil company from the province of Napoli. They have been around since 1884; but I am not familiar with their products. Highly unlikely that they would be using Taggiasca olives. but the Raineri Gold Label is the real thing! **Q: What is the difference between Reneri Silver and Gold olive oil?** A: Easy. LIgurian olive oil is light, delicate and perfectly matched with "the Mediterranean Diet". They are many small artisanal producers, and many folks produce their own private stock. This is one of the best olive oils that you can find on this side of the Atlantic.
