Review: Smooth, rich coffee that has become my everyday favourite - Smooth, rich coffee that has become my everyday favourite I’ve tried quite a few different coffee beans over the years, and these Costa Signature Blend beans are among the best I’ve found for an everyday coffee. The 1kg bag offers excellent value, especially for anyone who gets through a lot of coffee at home. The beans arrived fresh and were consistent in size and appearance, with very few broken beans in the bag. Once ground, they produced a lovely aroma that genuinely fills the kitchen and gives you that coffee-shop feeling at home. The flavour is well balanced and easy to drink. It’s rich enough to have character but not so strong that it becomes bitter or overpowering. I found it works equally well as a black coffee or with milk, and it produces a smooth, rounded flavour without the harsh aftertaste that some blends can have. I’ve used these beans in both a bean-to-cup machine and a grinder with a cafetière, and the results have been consistently good. The crema from the machine was impressive, and the flavour remained reliable from the first cup to the last. One thing I particularly like is that it’s a crowd-pleasing blend. Family and visitors have all commented positively on the taste, which isn’t always the case with stronger or more specialist coffees. It strikes a nice balance between flavour and drinkability. If I had one minor criticism, it would be that coffee preference is very personal, and those who enjoy very dark, intense roasts may find this blend a little milder than expected. A: I do believe coffee is considered a luxury item therefore it is taxable in the UK . Wether or not you think it shouldn't be it doesn't matter in the UK it is law
