I first heard of Don Colbert in Joyce Meyer's "Life in the Word" magazine. There were a few articles by him that were good, so I bought the book.I like the way it is written - non-scientific, easy to understand. Every couple of pages there is a highlighted health tip, all of which are excellent and interesting. He gives basic guidelines for healthy eating which are simple to understand (yet hard to do!). He seems to be a 'proper' Christian, and not a celebrity religious doctor - yet doesn't push Christianity overly much in the book, so this would be a good one to give a non-Christian friend.The only thing I don't like about it is that there is a lot of wasted space on each page, but that is a small gripe!I am glad I bought this book and am sure I will refer back to it regularly.
