    Good reference needs an update

Great reference book for understanding basic and advanced EMC concepts.  Good background information on common emission and immunity test methods.  Only a 4 star rating because the standards mentioned in the book are so very old.  Most of the EMC standards mentioned were replaced with newer versions 10-15 years ago.  For example, IEC 801 series is now IEC 61000-4 series.  The book publish date is 1994, so that's 22 years ago.  IEC/EN standards get updated every 5-6 years.  Technical concepts remain the same.  Wifi, Bluetooth and other wireless networks did not exist in 1994, so none of that stuff is in this book.

Examples are well-focused on the essential aspects of subject areas, and flow smoothly from task or problem definition, through procedures, to interpretation of results. A consistent proportion of practical recommendations and cautions is provided for each topic area.Given all of the above, this book can serve as an academic reference, a system design/development resource, a test-methods manual, or a lab resource.With some emphasis on UK/European examples, the book effectively communicates to the US, UK, European and international EMC communities, in an exceptionally accurate, precise and easily understood manner, for both theoretical and practical topics.
