Was reluctant to spend that much but you get what you pay for. Some parts are a little plasticy but the point is it brews great coffee. I got tired of cheaper machines making tepid Luke warm coffee. This machine makes actual HOT Coffee. No fancy functions timers or gadgets it just makes great coffee. So if your the type who likes to count the exact amount of coffee grains an tweak a lot of settings then it’s probably not for you. Simplicity is always the best design. It’s also worth investing in a burr coffee grinder. Fill it to number 4 with a medium grind an it gives you two decent size mugs of great coffee on the half pot function. It is hand made so worth the money in my view. I used the same beans and grind I normally do an was blown away by the taste a quality difference.
