It keeps ice for days. It can also keep hot things hot. I cooked my Thanksgiving turkey ahead of time. I wrapped it in foil and threw it in this bad boy with a bunch of towels. It was still hot after 3 hours in the cooler!! I really like the drain plug too. It is really easy to unscrew and drain out any water in your cooler. One con is the weight. This is a pretty hefty cooler when it is empty.
