Like most silks and silk velvets, it does not photograph well. It is actually much nicer than it looks in the picture because of the subtle way it captures and reflects light. It is lightweight and very soft. My cats tried to steal it on the first night, dragging it across the room to their private corner. Because silk is very strong there were only small tooth marks, which disappeared when the fabric was gently stretched and smoothed. Still, I now put the throw away at night. The cats and I share it during the day. I strongly recommend this throw.
