I would say that this movie would be perfect for older children, since some elements of the movie may be considered too scary or "mature" for certain audiences. As a parent, I would watch it on your own first if you're worried about content before you show it to your children. It's a classic movie in my opinion and I was able to watch it at 10 years old when it first came out and loved it!!! Then again I don't scare easily and I love quirky movies like this.
