Thanks.** A: If you are going to 'bring one' then you 'have one', and can measure it yourself. No airline or 'airplaine' will allow this in overhead storage. **Q: do you need a power coard** A: Hello Chad. No need power coard. The keyboard works with USB connection. You can use a USB port on your laptop or your PC. if you need to turn it on without connection to a computer you can use a universal USB charger. I use it occasionally so although the manual says nothing about that. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Unfortunately a fail *by M***1 on Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2012* I am a long time Ableton user (since version 3) and I"ve used many different midi keyboard controllers over the years and I have to say this one is probably the worst I've used. This controller even comes with a light version of Ableton, and still I was unable to get this thing to work with the software consistently. Often, in the middle of recording it would get hung up (stuck) on a note. Many times it would not be connected upon opening the Ableton software and many times it would drop connection when switching from one record armed track to another. The only to way to remedy this is to turn off the keyboard and turn it back on. I can tell you, I turned this thing off and on almost every time I used it just to get it to work. Who wants to go through that?Icing on the cake - the drums are also very dodgy i.e. they didn't always send a signal - hit and miss.Cherry on top - Manual midi mapping (in Ableton) also did not work as well as other controllers I've used and even the Ableton midi automap provided on Alesis's own site did work. I was never able to get transport controls to work consistently (works one time and then other times no.)Final remarks - In this day and age, you should be able to buy a midi controller that automatically maps and works with the host software seamlessly and effortlessly. It is possible I did something wrong (or didn't do something) but I strongly feel that it should work out of the box without having to download a bunch of stuff or do a ton of research online on how to get it to work properly - hence the one star. I am actually a fan and satisfied customer of several other Alesis products but I have to say they dropped the ball on this one. No response from customer support + product that doesn't work = return to sender. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Best Midi Keyboard In It's Price Range *by B***C on Reviewed in the United States on May 18, 2017* I ordered this midi keyboard during a time when it was on sale. I must say for the price I paid it is well worth it. This is the best midi keyboard I have owned. Easy setup, custom integration for most DAW's, and veloicty-sensitive keys which is great to capture midi notes the way they were played. If you are hesitant to buy, don't be. Alesis's warranty coverage is good for 1 year from purchase date. You do have the option to buy additional warranty from retailer.NOTE: Register your product online at alesis's website, and get a FREE downloadable copy of XPAND for windows and mac. Amazon replaced the item fairly promptly.SECOND, the MIDI in/out ports (which I should have checked when I received the item) are NOT functional!!I can't return the item anymore so I'm stuck with this thing that only works partially.My intention initially was to use this just with a DAW, so the first few weeks, the USB connection was the only one I used. It worked great. But now I'm trying to incorporate hardware synths and the fact that the MIDI ports do not work AT ALL (I even have a little box to test MIDI signal) is very, very disappointing. Alesis notoriously has bad support as well. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR - SPEND A LITTLE MORE MONEY AND BUY M-AUDIO OR ARTURIA.
