My shooting instructor also had a pair. The gel cups are quite comfortable, and a good seal is paramount to proper hearing protection. The noise isolation worked reliably for every shot, but would also kick in for smaller noise spikes like the racking of a slide or even sometimes a gust of wind, but that's not a problem in my opinion. Stereo hearing is a must have, as opposed to only one microphone on the whole headset. I had no problem hearing my instructor and my environment which is also very important, and the volume can adjusted from subtle to quite loud (for if you double-up with ear plugs). All said, the first few pictures of this listing are for a different product: a SKU with quad-microphones. This product only has DUAL microphones. I don't know what the difference would be, but be aware that as the quad-mic skew is more expensive.
