Turns out it was defective. The top part of it that is the hand did not lock into the base at the wrist, it just set on top. So if you picked it up by the top it just fell apart. I had company the other day using it and twice someone dropped the base into their soup as it just fell apart when they went to use it.Splash! Bernie's in the soup again, Jeeves!So I sent it back for a replacement, and that one came very fast and works perfect.
