I was used to having my phone within easy arms reach and charging it overnight, and I did not want to keep it in my bed with me for fear of fire. I needed some way to have my phone close enough to use my nursing app and also hear my alarm in the morning without waking the baby. I did not want the cord anywhere near my baby, so I mounted the phone on the wall behind my head in the middle of the bed. This way it is near to my head so I can hear my alarm in the morning, but does not wake the baby, and she cannot reach the cord. I have one of those cable clips stuck to the wall directly under the mount with my iPhone charger attached so that I can charge the phone during the night. So far it is working perfectly. It was easy to install. The mount seems sturdy on the wall and it is easy to take the phone in and out of the mount when I need to use it.
