It also pushes her products. Which I'm sure are great but can only be bought in a kit with the book as far as I've been able to find. However you can choose your own brand of the same products. I combine a few type of probiotics by Garden of Life and use Living Clay bentonite clay. So why the 5 stars? Well once you get past these hurdles and the mediocre writing, you will learn how to keep yourself and your loved ones healthy FOR GOOD. I noticed my first big change within my 3 weeks on Donna's program. This may be TMI for some but after over twenty years of suffering from horrible premenstrual cycles, with excruciating cramps, I had the best menstrual cycle of my life. No premenstrual symptoms like bloating or sugar cravings. It was super light (in my case anyways) and lasted less than 4 days. It was so nice to not be in pain or fatigued like I normally am for 7 days a month. The other big factor I noticed was that I no longer experienced inflammation after eating. I suffer from hashimotos and was getting more and more sensitive to food, even healthy, clean food. Now I can eat with confidence. My perfect menstrual cycle was also experienced by a friend of mine who is struggling to become fertile and also on Donna's program. She said she had never experienced such healthy cycles other than one time after over 9 months of acupuncture. Accupuntire was something that I had been considering doing to help balance my hormones which I now realize is only a temporary fix, or as Donna says in the book, just a crutch, not a cure. I will no longer be wasting my time or money on crutches any longer. Not after seeing results on this program in such a short time and without rearranging my lifestyle to have to eat 6 meals a day, do high intensity work outs that strain my joints, or be on dozens of supplements. I have tried so much and never had such quick hormone balancing results. If you are contemplating whether Donna's program is legit, I highly recommend reading Dr. Perlmutter's book Brain Maker. I would actually recommend reading that first and then reading Donna's program because her program is really just a more aggressive approach to Dr. Perlmutter's. I am going to reverse my autoimmune disease. I never gave up trying and now that I have found what I believe to be a cure, the time and effort has paid off. In a year or so I should know without a doubt and I will definitely update my progress here and under Brain Maker's reviews as well. I have been doing the program for about two weeks now and I have lost 4lbs! I have hypothyroidism and have tried many diets and supplements to help me lose weight and nothing ever worked. The authors ideas of healing your gut and eliminating your toxins is exactly what my personal research about better health was pointing to. But she does it in a way that claims to completely heal your body and be able to reverse many chronic diseases. Articles I have read explain there is a connection between leaky gut and autoimmune diseases like hypothyroidism. I have heard about ways to heal the gut on the internet by just eating more Probiotics foods, eliminating gluten and dairy, and taking a drug store Probiotics. Unfortunately after 3 months of hard work doing that, my thyroid levels never even improved and I didn't lose any weight. This program shows promise after just two weeks. This is the first significant weight-loss I have had in years. I am excited to keep going with the program. I will update this in a few months to see if I progress like the program claims. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Book, a different approach to health problems. *by S***O on Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2013* Everybody should read this and everybody should do this program, I consider this a miracle for myself personally. I have been on the program for 3 weeks, most of my symptoms are gone but my bowel and body are a long way from being healed. It is a positive sign that I already feel 100 times better, I have consulted with Donna over the phone and believe this is the best way to get the full deal when trying to heal your bowel and body. I must say that I feel so empowered to know all of the knowledge from her book, in fact we know more than Doctors do. Want to get rid of headaches, stomach issues, food allergies, joint pain, you name it this program can help with it and eliminate it. If your tired of spending money like I was on vitamins, supplements, chiropractors, massages, diet plans that don't work I suggest one read this through you will be glad you did. I am always skeptical of things and at first I was until reading this book all the way through and then consulting with Donna herself. This is not a money making scheme this is the real deal, one must have a healthy bacterial environment in their gut for our bodies to function properly, and sadly many of us do not.
