Since I started this diet I have had no hemorrhoids, and I no longer have to take Calmovil. So in my own experience I would say that Calmovil works great if you aren't willing to radically change your diet. But curing hemorrhoids requires those radical changes. My verdict is still the same... Calmovil is the best hemorrhoid treatment I have ever used. Just understand that it's not a cure... you have to keep taking it. I think of it like Aleve for my butt. It gets rid of the inflammation and shrinks the hemorrhoids down to nothing. 21 months: I stopped taking Calmovil for a while as I didn't need it anymore. But just recently I had the worst constipation of my life. It took 30 minutes to pass a very large bowel movement. My hemorrhoids resurfaced after that and were seriously pissed off. The flare up was so bad that it took much longer for relief than my initial experience, but it still worked and it is keeping the hemorrhoids in check now that they are under control again. I also tried something new during this flare up... baking soda and sea salt enemas.
