It’s made of fabric and has a thin pocket inside so you can insert the filter which is included in the order. Fits really well and feels secured. The mask is well packaged and comes with extra disposable filters. We have worn them without the filters, and although the mask is well made and has held up well to washing and repeated uses, they are quite hot to wear and somewhat hard to breathe in.I have a smallish head for an adult woman, and the mask is a bit big for my face (from nose to chin), which means that there are extra folds of fabric that get pulled against my nose when I breathe. So, I find that I typically have to breathe through my mouth instead, which isn't ideal. Installation of the filter is somewhat clumsy, but I am an engineer with big hands.It fit my face perfectly.
