Dimmer take about 15s of pushing to go from max to min brightness. Lowering the brightness at high setting doesn't really seem to do much for about 5 to 10 seconds. No issues at all but I only have a 12' run from the receiver to the switch so I cannot say what the max distance should be. Installation was a breeze and it works flawlessly so far. I feel it was expensive, however there is not much else in the area of options that matches the mounting capability. If you remove the back cover, this switch it can squeeze into a 1/2"-5/8" recess!With a little creative mounting and paint you can blend it into any decor.
