It’s a light foam base versus typical doc solid rubber “bouncing soles” **Q: Are these vegan, hydro, or regular leather?** A: The description is a bit misleading (says leather and also says manmade). Docs with white and yellow heel pulls (as opposed to black and yellow) are vegan. The black Felix ruboff are vegan. The rest are leather. **Q: do these need to be broken in?** A: Basically every pair of docs need to be broken in so I would say yes **Q: Are they heavy** A: They ARE NOT heavy.
