I have the same drive by Pawtec and after upgrading to Windows 10 I no longer could view movies. It would completely lock up Windows Explorer. So I looked at what type of drive it was and it said it was a Matshita bd-mlt uj265Β  Pawtec UltraSlim External USB 3.0 Slot-Loading BDXL 3D Blu-Ray Writer / Burner For PC or Mac - Black . I set out on the net to find a newer driver/firmware for the drive and couldn't find one. I came across a forum where they talk about that drive and how it's not compatible with Windows 10.So I found this one and did a little research and found out that it's actually a Sony Optiarc drive and couldn't really find any issues about it on the net. Price was reasonable and it's super slim and has a slot loading drive which I like. I'm doing a burn-in as I type this, not really a burn but it's continuously reading the drive while DVDFab is also running. So far it's been reading the Blu-ray all night while converting to HEVC codec and all is well. Glad I did, it looks great and reads Blu Ray discs just fine. Like others have noted, the cable is permanently attached to the drive and is a bit short. There is no eject button - have to tell computer to eject the disc. Noise level while playing Blu Ray movies is low. Just so people are aware, if you run a Windows 10 laptop, you have to first download special software before you can play Blu Ray movies. Blu Ray discs are encrypted and VLC doesn't have the ability to natively decrypt.My main concern is there's no emergency eject mechanism, in case something goes wrong and the disc won't come out. I only need a BD drive for my small collection of BD movies, and I have a DVD drive for everything else, so this USB player fits my needs perfectly. I only have 2 problems with it:1. The length of the cable is really short, and can make finding a place to put this thing difficult.2. I can't find a switch to eject disks when the device is powered off. A lot of devices have some kind of spring-powered switch.
