I returned them (Amazon was prompt, courteous, & helpful) and the new ones arrived undamaged, but I feel like the plastic, especially along the top where the flap folds, is brittle. These do not seem like they will be very resistant to wear and tear. Other than that they function as intended & come with plenty of stickers to label (and re-label) the dividers with.I waffled between 3 and 4 stars, because I am disappointed in the apparent quality of the item, but at the same time they have not broken yet after a month of (gentle) use, and seem sturdy and well made aside from the flap. Therefore, my perception of quality may have been skewed by the first two that arrived damaged. There are far worst things in life than getting a flaming pink file folder for personal documents, but if I had a choice I would have chosen something a little less glaring.Things that aren't mentioned in the description: the tabs are scalloped (elongated semi-circles rather than the traditional rectangular shape, with matching scalloped paper stickers for tags); the base is 1.75" and does not expand, so as the file fills the top will expand outward.It is what it is.
